Key stakeholders from Ghana's aviation, health, security and border management sectors convened at Kotoka International Airport in Accra to review and strengthen measures aimed at preventing the importation and spread of Ebola virus disease.
A Coordinated Approach The meeting brought together multiple agencies responsible for different parts of the country's disease surveillance and entry screening systems, reflecting a coordinated approach to managing cross-border health risks.
Part Of Ongoing Preparedness Efforts The review follows broader public health capacity building efforts in Ghana this year, including World Health Organisation support for the country's second generation National Action Plan for Health Security.
